Wow! People of Logan Wake Up. Your teachers are out of step with reality in their attempt to force the liberal and anti-constitutional views! Then a Neanderthal of a cop, claims that a 14 year old did not stop talking, and thus interfered with his duties. AT a minimum this 'cop' needs remedial training and a demotion. Preferably would be the firing of this cop and his moronic chief who stated this young man nearly caused a riot. He is caught in a bald-faced lie! There was no near riot, nothing. Your Mayor/City Council better get their act together, because this young man WILL win in Federal court and your City, PD and School District will be paying him for years. You are all supposedly adults, grow a pair and admit to overreacted to a Liberal Teacher's agenda, apologize and move on. And on a personal level, thanks, New Jersey is now the butt of less jokes than your police department and school system!

All I can say is you folks must be very proud picking on a 14 year old boy and giving him a mark that will follow him his whole life. Once again, between you and this "Prosecutor" should really be proud of the work you do keeping your town safe from NRA (ya, I said it) tee shirts. Randy Wheeler

The TEACHER who violated Jared Marcum's 1st amendment rights should have been arrested, NOT the student! You people have your priorities backwards! I agree with Jeremiah above, the Chief of Police and the arresting officer need to be fired along with the teacher who was the one that instigated this whole situation. Where is your reasoning? Its because of you that this youth had to go through this humiliating experience to NO FAULT of his own. A whole nation is disgusted with you. The US Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the highest laws in this land. Those laws trump any others. Are your officers aware of this? This kid didn't even violate a rule of the school!! I hope he sues the pants off of you and that traitorous idiot teacher!

Overbearing. Unprofessional. Haters of the United States Constitution as demonstrated by repeated actions. Separately, Brittany E., who reviewed earlier, stated she does not like America.

I am a former California Superior Court Judge. I cannot believe what I am reading about the case against the 14 year old boy with the NRA T-shirt. I hopt you will ask the prosecutor to drop this case immediately. You will likely be sued in federal court for a civil rights offense if you do not. The charge of interfering with an officer noted in the press is very weak and likely a violation of the boy's First Amendment rights. I would have thrown this out in a nanosecond. Norman Turner
